The AdoptIdee project arrives in Abruzzo, financed by the European Commission in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, with the aim of transferring to Italy the school-business collaboration format already developed and implemented in the Netherlands for over five years by the AdoptIdee Foundation.

The project aims to increase soft skills in young participants, who collaborate in groups to propose innovative ideas to solve challenges proposed by local businesses. The acquisition of soft skills is considered of fundamental importance to support and complete technical skills, especially in view of the employability of current students in a constantly evolving world.

On 4 and 5 October 2023, the delegation of the Dutch coordinating partner, the AdoptIdee Foundation, part of PNO Consultants, together with the other two Italian partners IDP European Consultants and Innovalley, visited in Pescara the I.I.S. Alessandro Volta and the Fameccanica company, both involved in the project.

A strong and kind Abruzzo that impresses the Dutch delegation with its welcome, avant-garde, preparation and passion on behalf of the headmaster, staff and students of the I.I.S. Alessandro Volta as well as for the professionalism and high engineering level of a company, like Fameccanica, that is one of the local excellences.

The other schools that enthusiastically joined the project are the Liceo Classico G.D’Annunzio, the I.I.S. Di Marzio-Michetti both from Pescara and Itset Filippo Palizzi from Vasto; these will propose their solutions to Fameccanica and other large companies of the area.
