On June 8th, 2022, IDP joined the third transnational project meeting of FAIRFOOD, a Project co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission and coordinated by the University of Malaga. The meeting took place at the University of Aveiro, which, the day after, organised the first FAIRFOOD Multiplier Event.
The project, which brings together six partners from four countries (Portugal, Spain, Italy, and Belgium) aims at improving personal health, through a nutritional education inspired by the rich European gastronomic culture, enhancing the benefits of the Mediterranean Diet, declared as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by the UNESCO.
During the meeting, the consortium discussed the scheduled implantation of the project, timelines and respective duties. In detail, partners analysed the implementation of the FAIRFOOD Platform, which gathers the FAIRFOOD Foodpedia, the training courses and an online Knowledge Community. Next steps to take: conduct the Test&Validation phase (both online and offline) improve the visual identity of the website and enrich its contents.
During the last stage of the project, partners will commit to involve the project target groups, including students, teachers and researchers in subjects related to hostelry, food, hospitality, cuisine and nutrition. Thanks to the presence of partners with a high level of experience and multiplication potential, the project will benefit from increased visibility and impact at national and European level.
