Global competence for advancing social inclusion and career paths of vulnerable women: IDP European Consultants joined the second online Meeting of BOOST

On May 25th 2021, IDP European Consultants joined the second transnational meeting of BOOST, a Project co-funded by the Erasmus Plus Programme of the European Commission, which brings together eight Partners from eight countries (Spain, Ireland, Turkey, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Belgium, and Poland). The meeting, originally planned in Portugal, was held in online mode due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The main aim of the meeting was to take stock of the didactic content developed as part of IO1 “BOOST Global Competence MOOC” and the presentation of IO2 “BOOST Coaching Programme”, a bespoke programme to equip professionals in providing coaching support to vulnerable women and advancing their social inclusion and career paths.

In addition, the meeting was dedicated to define the next steps and actions. Specifically, dissemination activities were brought to discussion for the mainstreaming of the project in EU settings.

In the Project, IDP brings its consolidated experience and expertise as a private provider of VET and adult education services. IDP has 25 years of experience in international and cross-border collaboration in the field of promotion of entrepreneurship and employability. IDP will greatly contribute to the technical and operational activities of the Project carrying out analysis and stock-taking activities of the Italian VET ecosystem pertaining to the project; contributing to structuring modules, developing methodologies for effective teaching and learning, materials and content.

BOOST has the objective of fostering global competence for advancing social inclusion and career paths of vulnerable women. Within such context, BOOST is devoted to these women, currently facing vulnerability due to their migrant background and cultural differences, but also targets those professionals whom are working in the field, such as trainers, career counsellors, social workers, intercultural mediators. Through a bespoke coaching programme, BOOST aims to equip these professionals with a toolkit so they can better support these women to use global competence to cope with challenges they face every day.
