ENHANCING FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS: IDP in Nottingham, UK, for the Closing Meeting of SHIFT, a Project co-funded by Erasmus+

September 19th, 2019 foto 2 IDP European Consultants, was in Notthingham, UK, on September 17th, 2019, for the Closing Meeting of the project SHIFT (Strengthen Higher Education Through Innovative Financial Tools) co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission, Key Action 2, Strategic Partnerships for Higher Education. SHIFT is implemented by a Consortium of 7 partners from 4 countries (Belgium, Italy, Poland, United Kingdom) and developed and validate an innovative model to provide financial support to student by developing a fund that pools money from both public and private sectors, to be redistributed to HE students in the form of grants and/or soft loans. Dissemination activities were discussed by partners plus the closing of all the intellectual outputs. Moreover, the academic world, micro-finance and stakeholders attended a Multiplier Event at the Business School of the University of Nottingham on September 18th in order to disseminate the project’s results. The Transnational Consortium in Warsaw for the 3rd Transnational Meeting of SHIFT, an Erasmus+ Project to enhance financial support for university students

SHIFT 3rd meeting pictureThe Transnational Consortium met in Warsaw, Poland, on September 10th for the 3rd Meeting of the project SHIFT (Strengthen Higher-education through Innovative Financial Tools) co-funded by the Erasmus Plus Programme of the European Commission, Key Action 2, Strategic Partnerships for Higher Education. SHIFT is implemented by a Consortium of 7 partners from 4 countries (the United Kingdom, Belgium, Italy and Poland) and will develop and validate an innovative model to provide financial support to students. SHIFT is developing a fund that pools money from both public and private sectors, managing the finances to generate revenues to be redistributed to HE students in the form of grants and/or soft loans. During the meeting, the Partners discussed the main findings of the report “SHIFT Innovative Financial Model for HE Students” and advanced implementation by fine-tuning the methodology for the validation phase of the project based on the next deliverable “Test and Validate SHIFT through Stress Testing”. Partners also set the stage for the “SHIFT Implementation Package” that will include tools and documents for universities to implement the SHIFT Model, as well as a set of financial literacy tools and resources for students. IDP European Consultants in Brussels for the Kick-Off Meeting of SHIFT, an Erasmus+ Project

6th December 2017 IDP European Consultants was in Brussels on November 27th and 28th for the Kick-Off Meeting of Strengthen Higher-education through Innovative Financial Tools (SHIFT), a Project co-founded by the Erasmus Plus Programme of the European Commission, Key Action 2, Strategic Partnerships for Higher Education. SHIFT is implemented by a Consortium of 7 partners from 4 European countries (United Kingdom, Belgium, Italy and Poland). SHIFT will develop and validate an innovative financial model to support Higher Education students in Europe. The Consortium kick-started the Project implementation by planning activities of Intellectual Output 1 to map financing dynamics of HE students in the EU and selected Member States. Then, partners outlined the work under Intellectual Output 2 by discussing the preliminary design of the SHIFT innovative financial model, which will be clearly defined according to IO1 findings. The Kick-Off Meeting also represented a great opportunity for partners to agree upon the project logo and the web domain, in order to foster project visibility and to launch dissemination activities.
