IDP European Consultants attended the conference “Promoting the involvement of economic and social actors in development cooperation”, in Brussels, 20th of March. The conference, organised by the European Economic and Social Committee, aims at bringing together representatives of economic and social interest groups and other non-traditional development actors and forward-thinking experts, in order to share experiences, expertise and reflect on ways to further mobilize and support innovative partnerships with counterparts in developing countries. The objectives of the event were the promotion, recognition and a better understanding of economic and social actors other than development NGOs, in the field of development cooperation; exploring how economic and social actors are represented in the current EU- level development cooperation architecture; formulating recommendations to the European Commission based on the concrete needs and findings of these organisations and the development cooperation initiatives they implement. IDP at the “EU Leading on Renewable Energy Policy Forum” in Brussels

IDP European Consultants attended the “EU Leading on Renewable Energy Policy Forum”, in Brussels, 17th of March. Organised by DG Climate Action (CLIMA), the event has provided a unique platform for stakeholders, policy maker and experts interested in renewable energy sources in Europe. Serving as a common space for exchange and debate, the Forum aims at developing the most advantage policy and legal framework for renewable energy, as well as boosting the industrial shift and technological innovation and exploring new ways for investments in renewable energy sources.. The Forum brought together 200 high-level representatives from Europe and beyond, including large companies, SMEs, national, regional, and local authorities and organisations and associations. The event has been a unique opportunity to share and discuss experiences, compare examples of good practice, to network and to learn from each other. The REVEAL 2 Project co-founded by Erasmus+ is now available on the Open Education Europa portal of the European Commission

IDP is a key partner of the REVEAL 2 Project that builds on the success and lessons of REVEAL, a best practice project funded by the Lifelong Learning Programme. The core of OER REVEAL 2 is to s to widen the geographical scale by including new countries and languages and open the project results to the widest public through Open Educational Resources; for this reason, the project is now available on the European Commission portal ‘Open Education Europa’ (http://openeducationeuropa.eu), a platform created in 2013 to offer access to all existing European Open Education Resources in different languages in order to be able to present them to learnersteachers and researchers. IDP at the seminar “Local and regional partners contributing to Europe 2020”

IDP European Consultants attended the seminar “Local and regional partners contributing to Europe 2020”, in Brussels, on 5th of March. Organised by DG REGIO, the seminar has been an important moment to discuss and explore the governance processes at work and stimulate learning and the exchange between cities and regions. The seminar is based on a DG REGIO study of concrete examples of multilevel governance in support the Europe 2020 objectives in the fields of energy efficiency and of social inclusion. The study shows that governance processes benefit from bringing together stakeholders from different levels of governance and different policy fields and are crucial for implementing Europe 2020 objectives on the ground. At the seminar key lessons of the study has been presented and discussed, highlighting examples of multilevel governance processes supporting Europe 2020, as well as the possibilities and challenges when transferring them from one city or region to another. The seminar has mainly focused on two panel discussions (one on energy efficiency and one on social inclusion) and discussion with the seminar participants. IDP in Serbia, for the meeting of the REGIONAL project funded by the EU Lifelong Learning Programme

IDP is a key partner of the REGIONAL project and actively participated in the project meeting in Kragujevac, Serbia, on 18-19 February. The REGIONAL project carries out a comparative analysis of Adult Learning policy initiatives in 16 Regions of 6 European countries; the project brings together 7 partners from 6 Countries (Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Serbia and Slovakia) and is co-funded by the Lifelong Learning Programme of the European Commission. REGIONAL will produce a concrete result, the AL Policy Making Toolkit, to support policy makers at regional level throughout Europe in the formulation, implementation and funding of more effective AL policies. During the project meeting, the consortium discussed the findings of the first research phase and defined next steps for the implementation of the Toolkit. IDP in Malaga for the kick-off meeting of CLAVET project frunded by Erasmus+ Key Action 2

IDP in Malaga to launch the CLAVET project on 5th and 6th of February. CLAVET is funded by Erasmus Plus, the EU funding Programme for education and training. CLAVET aims at developing a platform for structured cooperation among local authorities for the qualitative development of education and training initiatives with the overall objective of overcoming geographical and border barriers. The project brings together 10 partners (local authorities, academia, private sector and NGOs) from 8 countries and is co-funded by Erasmus Plus Programme of the European Commission. During the kick-off meeting, partners discussed project outline, deadlines and calendar. IDP in Turin for the Kick-Off of CoACH, a project funded by Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie

IDP European Consultants is a key partner of the CoACH project, that was launched officially in Turin on 2-3 February. CoACH is funded by Horizon 2020 and is a European Training Network for excellence in research and innovation in the Advanced glasses, Composites And Ceramics for High growth Industries CoACH brings together 15 partners from 8 countries and is co-funded by the Horizon 2020 Programme of the European Commission. The project provides career development and training opportunities for 15 researchers who are in their first 4 years of research career in both the public and private sectors. IDP European Consultants attended the Infoday on “Support for Policy Reform – Prospective Initiatives – Forward-Looking Cooperation Projects” under ‘Key Action 3’ of Erasmus Plus Programme.   The Infoday was organised in Brussels by the European Commission and the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) to illustrate the funding opportunities available under ‘Key Action 3’ of Erasmus Plus, the European programme for education, training, youth and sport. Speakers from the EU institutions and agencies responsible for the programme presented the policy framework and priorities of this Call. Particularly relevant was the section devoted to advice and tips on preparing and submitting proposals. IDP launches the Boot Camp in EU Project, 25 to 27 of February

IDP hosts the Boot Camp in EU Project proposal writing in Pescara, from 25 to 27 of February. Scholarship opportunities for young researchers with the CoACH Project of IDP European Consultants funded by Horizon 2020

The CoACH project, coordinated by the Politecnico of Torino and supported by the European Commission through the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Action, provides 15 scholarships of 36 months each for the training of young researchers in prestigious academic institutions as well as private companies in seven different European countries. CoACH promotes excellence in advanced research in the areas of glass, ceramics and composite materials for high growth industries such as healthcare, energy and ICT. Who can apply?   coach At the time of recruitment, applicants shall be in the first four years of their research careers and not yet have been awarded a doctoral degree. Furthermore, at the time of recruitment by the host organisation, researchers must not have resided or carried out their main activity in the country of the host organisation for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the recruitment date. Gross amount of the fellowship: € 3,110 + monthly mobility allowance (600 to € 1,100 per month depending on dependants).
