On November 14th, IDP was in Berlin (DE) for the Kick Off Meeting of TOUR2INCLUDE – Migrants’ Integration into Tourism-Related Professions – a Project co-funded by the Erasmus Plus Programme of the European Commission which involves a Consortium of 6 Partners from 3 European countries, i.e. Germany, Greece and Italy.
Considering the fact that secure jobs are one of the most efficient ways for migrants’ successful integration in EU society, Tour2Include’s goal is to establish innovative approach supporting low-skilled migrants willing to work in the Tourism Sector. In doing so, the project focuses on targeted training opportunities set to offer better career perspectives to migrants thus avoiding undeclared work and marginalization.
After each Partner’s introduction, Project monitoring and reporting plus financial management were discussed. Moreover, dissemination activities were also brought to discussion for the upstreaming of the project in EU settings, specifically handled by IDP.
Other than dissemination activities, IDP will greatly contribute to the technical and operational activities of the Project, carrying out analysis and stock-taking activities of the Italian VET ecosystem pertaining to the Project; contributing to structuring training modules, developing training materials and content. In addition, IDP brings into the project its consolidated experience in international project management and reporting and will also collaborate with the Coordinator to ensure smooth implementation and monitoring of the project.
