IDP European Consultants was in Rome, IT, on October 3rd, 2019, for the Multiplier Event of the project SHIFT (Strengthen Higher Education Through Innovative Financial Tools) co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission, Key Action 2, Strategic Partnerships for Higher Education.
SHIFT is implemented by a Consortium of 7 Partners from 4 countries (Belgium, Italy, Poland, United Kingdom) which aims at producing an innovative model to provide financial support in both public and private sectors.
Dr Igor Yuri Paolucci presented papers related to the SHIFT model to representatives of enterprises, business association and large companies in various fields, i.e. energy, transportation, construction and infrastructure. All said types of companies have a corporate social responsibility (CSR) – a self-regulating business model that helps a company be socially accountable — to itself, its stakeholders and the public. This way companies can be conscious of the kind of impact they are having on all aspects of society including economic, social, and environmental. To engage in CSR means that, in the normal course of business, a company is operating in ways that enhance society and the environment, instead of contributing negatively to them.
